DISCUSSION

The Null Hypothesis is that MMA fighters should be significantly more Yang. However, this survey supports the alternative hypothesis that there are equal proportions of yin & yang energies. Yin energy is just as powerful as Yang & several prominent fighters are double Yin, such as Cruz, Faber & St-Pierre. Others are balanced with Yin & Yang such as Aldo, Edgar, Rua & Silva. Double yangs include Serra, Struve & Velasquez. My favorite is the young yellow Dragon Struve: however, his Aquarius sign is the least common in the survey.

The most common sign in MMA is Virgo. The Yin energy of Virgo is "mutable earth", which involves movement, such as Aldo, Cruz & Yahya. The most common Chinese sign in MMA is the Rat, which is also 1st sign of the eastern zodiac & a most common sign for US Presidents (5). Virgo is the least common sign for US Presidents (2). MMA Roosters are also common including Dana White the UFC President, as well as Edgar, Rua & St-Pierre. The Rooster is a least common sign for US Presidents.

The historical roots of MMA are with the Tiger sign, and today a Virgo fire Tiger, Jose Aldo, pound for pound the ultimate fighter with an ultimate astrology: Wood>Fire>mutable earth.
